Demetra was born in Rizokarpaso(now occupied by Turkish troops), studied painting in "ABC" School of Art of Paris. She is a member of the European Academy of Arts of France and a member of the Cyprus Chamber of Arts(EKATE). In 2001 she participated in the 3rd Bienale of Contemporary Art of Florence and in 2002 in the Triennale of Contemporary Art of Paris. She also participates constantly in the Annual Exhibitions of the members of the European Academy of France. 

Some of her works are exhibited in the State Gallery of Cyprus, in municipal galleries, private collections and in public places in Cyprus, Australia,Africa, Europe and America.
